    Is China economically strong?

China is one of the most developed country of the world. It is very strong politically. From the past couple of years the country has prospered alot. Is it economically strong? If yes , what is the reason for its fast economic growth?

I guess the fact most countries in the world are buying their products is making this country's economy strong. I have even ordered Chinese products in the past and I must say I'm quite happy with what I've ordered so far. China offers products that are quite cheap, some of them are of a good quality, but you must always pick carefully.

Currency manipulation. The Chinese RMB is tied to a basket of currencies i.e. the USD, korean WON, Japanese YEN, and possible others. This allows them to keep their currency lower to continue to attract buyers for their factory made goods. It is gradually being released from this tie as the USA keep complaining about it, and when it does rise you may find Chinese made goods less attractive to purchase.

I'd say that they are pretty strong economically considering that most people think of China as the second best world economy in the World.
