I've just spent a few days in Copenhagen and thoroughly enjoyed it. It reminded me of Amsterdam in many ways - very multi-cultural, lots of bikes, laid-back, but a bit edgy in places.
The Danish National Museum and the Glyptotech were top-notch and while the national gallery might not rank among the great galleries of Europe, there is enough there to appeal (plenty of Rembrandt and Rubens for the big name enthusiasts)
I liked the brew-pub and micro-brewery scene - plenty around and an excellent antidote to the Carlsberg/Tuborg conglomerates. By Scandinavian standards, five quid a pint )okay, half-litre) isn't too shabby.
We had an excellent meal in a Pakistani restaurant - just under twenty quid for a terrific spinach paneer, glass of beer and an Irish coffee. That's about the price you'd pay in the UK.
Hotel by the station, quick trip across to Malmo, fifteen minute ride to the airport - what's not to like?
