Thread: What is the best hotel for a budget in Athens Greece?

Me and my mother are planning to go to Athens this summer and are looking into hotels. I am looking for a mid-range budget hotel for 2 weeks. From what I seen online most people say to avoid Omonia Square but it seem like most if not all hotels are in or around Omonia square. Of course my thinking like any city anywhere at the right time can be a bad neighborhood. Can anyone give any suggestions of hotels in Athens?
