I have been in other parts of Italy but not in Rome and this is the place I still want to see.

Can you share guys some short insights of your Rome experience? What are the top must see places there and top things to try and to do in Rome? How was the transportations?

    Thanks in advance.

Rome is a very contrasting city, on the one hand you can find a modern and vibrant area where the hustle and bustle calls for fun either night or day, while on the other hand your find the classic city made of museums, old monuments and remaining vestiges of ancient civilizations.

However there is another fact, the Vatican City that is part of Rome as well, adding another approach to your visit, depending on how you organize your tours and where you really want to go. Here is very true the adage that says "When in Rome do as Romans do"

There are two airports in this city with an interconnection express train, the city has a large public transport network consisting of regular buses, trams, electric buses, night buses and the Roman metro (subway)

There are also taxis and the possibility to rent bikes and scooters to move around.

I would love to see the historic side of Rome such as the Colosseums and take many photos of what was once the greatest city in the world.

I love the phrase 'When In Rome''. The vatican would be a cool place to visit also! It is technically it's own country am I right?
