Not able to find the right place to introduce myself, so posting here.I've been thinking about a lot of places.
Can't find the actual place of interest and asked for a lot of references.
What you think about central Tuscany ? Accommodations, place to see there and any thing that Good for me.

Welcome to the site James! I am also a new guy here and this is my first post here. Here I would like to suggest you about Villa Armena Relais resot to stay there. It is a boutique hotel in Tuscany village Buonconvento. It is Just 20 minutes’ drive from Siena. According to my point of view my famous attractions in Tuscany are:

I am new to this forum too! I would also love to visit Italy. We had thought of going as a family in the next couple of years and figure it is going to cost about 10K to have a comfortable vacation. Are there any warnings that Americans should know about?

many people mention a desire to stay somewhere with ’typical’ Tuscan scenery. Actually the scenery varies quite a lot. In the far north, Tuscany is mountainous and heavily wooded. The Chianti region is one of the best for vineyards, if that is the vista you desire, and then there is the often overlooked coastline too. 2.Don;t bring your all cash or credit when you go out,leave something at a hotel or at your home.
3.Pack a high tec-fabric that is easily dry and don't take more time.
4.Avoid wearing the expensive jewellery while you are in road trip.

First take the information about weather and then keep your clothes accordingly. Keep your medicines with you to avoid any inconvenience . Pack your luggage 2 or 3 years before so that you cannot get tired. Opt the reliable transport.

If your travel first time, then you find out your requirement. According to that packed your bags. If you are travelling on the trains then you may have to reserve your seats in advance. Trains are more comfortable as the buses.

Alicia you are right, journey via train is not only comfortable but also punctual. You can reach to your destination in time. If you are traveling first time then you must keep the map of that area along with you so that you may not find any difficulty to explore the new areas.

Florence is about the best option. It has good connections throughout the region. You can easily visit Pisa & Lucca in a day or get to places like Siena, Arezzo, San Gimignano and other tourist spots using the trains. I have visited Florence time and again . Lovely can you guide me about the recent festivals to visit because I am planing my tour to Italy after completing my bus tour to the tower niagara falls. I want to have some unique experience now.
