Thread: Museums And Art Galleries In Bologna

I'm probably going to Bologna at some point over the next year as one of my best friends is going to study abroad there for a year. Has anyone been before? What things do you recommend I do? I'm really into cultural stuff, and I've heard there's an international music museum - has anyone visited it? It sounds right up my street!

You will surely find a number of cultural places in Bologna. There are several museums, historic and religious sites, and churches and cathedrals in Bologna . In my view Palazzo Pepoli, the Museum of the History of Bologna, it has recently undergone an incredible renovation courtesy of the Genus Bononiae Foundation with the architect Mario Bellini. The Museum is dedicated to the history, culture and the transformation Bologna has undergone through the ages. Unlike in many Italian museums Palazzo Pepoli has given way to new media and uses it to educate and inform the visitors. It is the only Italian museum with a "virtual theatre" that allows visitors to view movies in 3D. Not any movies however, a special movie was made for the museum which features an animated character named APA, voiced by the great late bolognese Lucio Dalla, who guides you through the history of Bologna.
Without giving away too much, I can promise that Palazzo Pepoli is very different from any other museum you may have visited in the past, especially in Italy.

I have been visited the Bologna few months ago before going with 1-Day Boston to New York City Tour with my family. That was an awesome experience of my life. This region offers a lot of places that are best to enjoy the history of this region.

Ravello is a town of Italy. My uncle last year visited in this town for the business meeting, but 2 days extra and then he saw the attractions of this town. When he comes back and told me his memorable tour. He told me that this town has great natural beauty and he wants to stay there always but it's not possible. I want to visit this town in the next year.

Everyone of you has shared such nice and amazing kinds of stuff for having some fun there ahead. i will like to say that i am heading towards it with my Museum of the History of Bologna and surely will try to explore all others places. I will take my camera with me as well and will try to capture such massive stuff of this place for sure.

In Bologna, there are large numbers of Museums And Art Galleries which are famous among the visitors for exploring there. a few years ago, when I got a chance to explore this place then I had also explored some museums of this city which are mind-blowing. According to my experience, you should go there. I am sure you will enjoy there.
