Red face Suggestion For A Tourist To Osaka

There is a business trip coming and i have to go to Osaka, Japan for few days and after the business assignment i will have couple of days to relax and visit some places in Osaka . I really am not sure on what i shall be doing as there is not much information i can find about tourism to Osaka.

The other thing which is confusing me that i do not like fish since my childhood and most of the Japanese dishes have fish in it. Not only i am a bit concerned about this but also that i do not know Japanese language and should i be learning at least the basics before i go out to visit some places in Osaka. These two problems are making me insane and i some how have to make sure that i can enjoy the most in these two days and must see at least few places worth of visiting in Osaka. I would love to get suggestions from people who know Japan or have lived there in past.

I also traveled to Osaka for a business trip but was lucky enough to have seen some of Osaka's pride. Before I suggest places to visit, i would strongly recommend first hiring a tour guide or joining a tour group if you feel that you have limited time to explore Osaka on your own. These guides are skilled enough to tour you on places worthy to be seen out of your limited time. They take into consideration your alloted time, your interests, and your preference. Like, if gardens do not appeal to you, then they will not include that in your list. They are good in speaking English as well, so there is no need to worry if you do not know the Japanese language.

When I was there, I visited the famous and in-demand Universal Studios. I have never been to any Universal Studios before and I got the time to see it in Osaka. The rides and adventure was really thrilling and will bring out that child-like in you.

Dotonbori is a must when in Osaka. This place is known for its strip of foods, bright lights, shops, and other night-time activities. They say, no tourist goes out of Osaka without experiencing Dotonbori. This is where you can chill out and have fun after a long day of work.

Osaka is known for its castles and if there is only one castle to see, that must be the famous Osaka Castle. I believe this is the "king" of all Osaka castles. It is so huge that it can be sighted even from afar. The architecture is magnificent and that alone is worthy to be seen.

If you want to see Osaka's landscape and cityscape from an elevated point of view, the Tampozan ferris wheel is the best place to be. Located in the harbor, the wheel gives a breath-taking view of the waters, the mountains, and tall city buildings. All these sights are seen from the wheel.

These are the places I saw in my limited time in Osaka and I enjoyed them all together. I hope everyone wanting to visit Osaka will find my post helpful.

For people traveling to Osaka, I would highly recommend visiting the whale museum there. The entire building is a aquarium mecca dedicated to underwater sea life. The highlight of course is the giant whale shark in the middle of the building as you circle around moving up the different floors to the very top. Inside the massive tank you will see lots of other fish as well, including several divers maintaining the area. This is certainly one of Osaka's hidden gems. It's definitely worth a look since I believe it is the world's largest aquarium within a building. It's a truly amazing experience for both kids and adults!
