    Tokyo 2020

So, with the announcement yesterday that Tokyo will be hosting the 2020 Olympic games, is anyone thinking about making a trip to see them? Do you think it would be a good time to visit the country, or would you rather go when things are more business-as-usual?

My daughter and I talked about it last night and decided we're in the business-as-usual camp. We're planning for 2019 and I told her it was up to her if she wanted to move the trip back a year to be there for the Olympics. But she wants to experience Japan, not the Olympic games, so we're sticking to the original plan. We'll plan an Olympics trip next time a North American city is chosen to host the summer games.

I completely agree with you. The Olympics is great but you can watch them somewhere closer too, whereas Japan is most likely a once in a lifetime kind of thing. Go to Japan and enjoy it for what it is.

As you said your daughter want to go to Japan, not for the olympics but japan itself. It is very different if you will go to a place for business. I think it's better if you will go there for vacation. although you can do both. After doing the business, maybe you can spare another few days or week for vacation.

Actually Tokyo is closer home for me so I will consider going to Japan for the Olympics. There's no knowing how far it will be the next time, this might be my only chance. My aunt's family visited Japan last month and they loved the country. So I will be making a trip there someday to experience Japan for what it is.

I think that either the Olympics or Tokyo alone would be pretty overwhelming for me, so I'd probably visit when they were not on.

That said, if you were into a specific sport, going to see that and then side-tripping afterwards would be pretty excellent.

I have always wanted to witness the Olympics live and the 2020 Olympics would have to be my best chance to experience it. It's closer to our country.

Tokyo is a nice city for having enjoyment. It is famous for its beautiful landscapes that grab attentions of visitors each year. I like to visit its natural places. I have been there only one time of my life with my few family members. A lot of visitors go there with family and friends and had great time there. Any idea about this city.

That would be a very fine impact which grows and to me the quality way to it does exists which is always approaching for us as the best of it bus tour to niagara falls from NJ makes a mark and would take things ahead of it.
