    Mara River Crossing Anyone

Apparently in Kenya during the wildebeest migration from Tanzania to Kenya or Kenya to Tanzania, not really sure which way they migrate, but what I knwo is that during this migration, the wildebeest have to cross the river Mara which is infested with crocodiles and lions. It is even believed to be one of the seven wonders of the world. Anyone here heard of that crossing mind sharing what happens?

Never heard of the Mara River Crossing, but it sounds really scary and I don't think I would be brave enough to even go check it out, even though the thought of it being one of the seven wonders of the world, it really makes me want to know more about this crossing, but I don't think i would actually go to see it. I would wait to see something about on tv or internet.

Imagine it's not as scary as you think, it's very spectacular!! P/S you are not the one who is actually crossing the river, but you park your tour van by the river bank and you get to see the animals cross the river first hand as they try to get away from the crocodiles and lions who are always waiting for them on both sides of the river bank.

Its true what Carla says and should you find a pack of hungry lions that will be a spectacle of a life time. The thrill of the chase and rooting for either to win is an experience to die for. It is not really as scary but more-so amazing and considering you are always at a safe distance and with capable tour guides, there is nothing to worry about.

    Wildebeest Crossing Mara River

I think its amazing I would say that God is really wonderful with his creation because if you just think of how these animals come together at that particular time and just start moving, well its wonderful but I really sympathize with the animals that become prey to the awaiting crocodiles.

Mara River is the beautiful river of Tanzania. I have been visit this river after my 3 day bus tour from new york to niagara falls about three years ago with my friends during my summer holidays. I explore some nature sights of this attractive river. I enjoyed its charm of nature beauty. It is an ideal destination for nature's sightseeing lovers.
