    Top 25 events

Malaysia is and always has been on my top favorite lists. I'm quite familiar with the geography and politics of the city but know less about the life of the ordinary people- their interests, events and traditions. Therefore if anyone knows, can they please give a brief outline about the events of this beautiful country?

I will share some Traditions in Malaysia.
Malays form more than half of the population. They profess Islam as their religion and speak Bahasa Malaysia, the national language. A large number of homestay villages in Peninsular Malaysia are operated by the Malays.
The largest celebration for the Muslim community is Eid ul Fitr, or locally known as Hari Raya Aidilfitri. It marks the end of the fasting month, Ramadan, and the beginning of Syawal. Another major festival is the Hari Raya Aidiladha, which marks the completion of the Hajj pilgrimage in Makkah.
The Kandazandusun and Murut communities in Sabah celebrate Tadau Kaamatan or Harvest Festival in May. In Sarawak, Gawai Dayak (celebrated in June) is a centuries-old celebration that marks the end of the paddy planting season and the start of a new season.
A Malay wedding begins with an 'akad nikah' ceremony. The groom signs the marriage contract and agrees to provide the bride with a 'mas kahwin' or dowry. On the day of the wedding, the groom arrives with his entourage of relatives and friends. He is accompanied by musicians beating the 'kompang' ( a percussion instrument) and followers carrying the 'bunga manggar' or palm blossoms. As they arrive at the bride's home, the entourage will be greeted with the sprinkling of yellow rice and scented water.
    hope you like it.

Malaysia is an astonishing state to discover. I haven’t much knowledge about it but its recent upcoming events are its Independence day and George Town Festival. Malaysia celebrated its independence day on 31 August on every year and George Town festival is a month-long celebration of the arts which celebrate from (1 August to 31 August).

Absolutely Addie! I must share my experience with all community members. Now I recently came back from my bus tours from Boston to Washington DC. Your recommended places were amazing. I really enjoyed there. The white house and Thomas Jefferson Memorial are my favorite places. I like to visit historical places that's way I liked these places. The Thomas Jefferson Memorial started in 1939 and was completed in 1943. It is one of the most visited place of this region.

In this season people show high interest in los angeles to grand canyon bus tours
