Public Transport System In Mauritius
I have read that the public transport on this tiny island is very infrequent. For this reason tourists must rely on taxis and are usually charged a much higher fee than locals. Is it worth hiring a car and driving around yourself and if so, does any sat nav like google maps work over there?
Re: Public Transport System In Mauritius
The benefit here would be less traffic on the roads and people able to make their commutes in less time. Not to mention if it was "free" more people would use public transportation.
But that would be a hard sell, and a lot of people who feel they're taxed to the max wouldn't go for it. The only way to sidestep that is for major employers to fund routes most heavily travelled by commuters. Another hard sell, but it could happen!
Do you ever visit bus tours to grand canyon from los angeles?
