    Fish tacos

Has anyone over here ever eaten ''fish tacos''? You might not have heard about it, but fish tacos are quite popular in Mexico! Specially in places like sinaloa and baja california sur! I personally love eating fish tacos from time to time! Just check those pictures out:

As you can see there are many ways to prepare fish tacos

I actually make fish tacos. I've also made shrimp tacos as well! It's very good. I just generally use the traditional sour cream and salsa on mine. To add, I've actually made tacos with scrambled eggs as the meat too. Actually, really good.

You have to think outside that box sometimes!

Don't think I'd like a fish taco, not a big fan of fish (except salmon) and I don't think that would go well with a taco. Shrimp tacos sound awesome though! I'll be sure to give that one a try one day.

Fish tacos are better than you think I'm not a big fan of the strong fish flavour, but if you pick the right filet and make a schnitzel with it, then you can use that to make fish tacos. You need to prepare a nice sauce too, add some veggies to the tacos and that's it. They have a special recipe to prepare the fish of the taco that involves no bread crumbs, but to be honest I prefer the bread crumbs one.

Hehehe, I liked the scrambled eggs taco idea, but I've actually done that with burritos Quite nice actually! I like my scrambled eggs with turkey chorizo, potatoes, beans or tomato You should try it! I use wheat flour tortillas instead of the white flour ones.

I need to try some fish tacos, especially since I love fish! These look really good. I wonder what type of fish this is? Looks like it was cut length wise and either sauteed or fried. Would be nice to see the recipe for this.

Well, there are many ways to actually makes those. Sometimes you can just cover your fish filets with bread crumbs and that way you can the ''meat'' for the fish taco. There is also another mix you can use to prepare the fish for the fisht taco, but is a bit more tricky and I still prefer the one that uses bread crumbs!

In many coastal cities and town fish tacos are traditional, but also fish quesadillas, mainly in Veracruz and Guerrero, and these are even tastier because they are a sort of stuffed corn pastry or folded corn tortilla garnished with fresh salsa.

In Mexico City the tastiest fish tacos and fish quesadillas are sold at the so-called "tianguis" which are street markets.

I'd not recommend you to eat fish quesadillas or tacos at the ''tinaguis'' in Mexico city, my mom caught e coli from eating at that place. If anyone wants to eat fish tacos or quesadillas in Mexico, please find good and reputable restaurants to eat at. You don't want to risk it when eating something with fish in it, believe me. That's why I prefer to prepare my own tacos at home

Oh well, in Mexico people love eating all kinds of fish. There are many ways to eat it, and one of them is in tacos. Another good way to eat fish in mexico is in soups and breaded with some lettuce and rice. Some of us will have the fish with fries But seriously, fish tacos are really good! They are made with breaded fish filets, so tasty!

I love just about any kind of fish. On the other hand, my parents don't. As long as I use bass I can get them to eat a fish taco. I have this Mexican cookbook that has a recipe for fish tacos that are just delicious. I can't remember what spice you use but you marinate the fish in it and then mix some into the sour cream. I haven't made them in awhile but I am going to have to now!

Shrimp tacos are found on a lot of menus these days. They are good but I have to be careful because I don't like my fish fried, especially shrimp.

Yummy!!!! Tomorrow I'm going to prepare fish tacos, but the fish I got is already breaded I did this to simplify things a bit more, since I don't have a lot time to cook, but I couldn't stop thinking of eating fish tacos!!! Have you tried the ones with breaded fish?? Do you use any kind of salsa to eat those? I think I'll prepare an avocado sauce tomorrow, hopefully it'll go well with my tacos.

You really should, Peter Those tacos re amazing!!! I'm actually going to prepare some tomorrow, because at home we love eating this I prepare mine with purple cabbage and cilantro. I like to add an avocado sauce to my tacos as the final touch, that always does the trick since I'm not a fan of either dry or spicy fish tacos.

I should make them too. I'll have to take the fish filets out of the freezer and whip them up for dinner.

I am sure my parents would like the fish better if it was breaded. I, personally, have not tried any breaded fish tacos as, I prefer my fish only lightly seasoned. I'm willing to try most things, at least once, though. I wonder what they'd taste like in a crust of mayonnaise and Panko. It would be easy enough to whip up.

We normally just use salsa verde. My mom is not a fan of anything hot. I, normally, have to make her a dish sans salsa, if I don't use the green stuff. My dad, on the other hand, puts Valentina's on everything. An avocado sauce would work well, I think. It would give the fish a fresher taste.

Love to eat fist at Baja Fish Tacos I always get the two fish taco plate ensenada style. Never disappoints me even after 2+ eating there. Their salsa bar is also one of/ if not the best I've ever had.

Really? I'm always at a lose whenever it comes to salsas that go well with fish tacos. Could you describe what kind of salsa is it? Is it spicy? Red? Green?

@livetoerr Have you triedvensenada style fish tacos? They come with a thin and soft crust. I liked them the first time I tried them. We like to add purple cabbage previously marinated with some vinegar. I think this kind of tacos go well with tartar sauce.
