    Mexico City advice please

    Hi folks,
I have a trip planned to Mexico City with my 65 year old mother, so we are looking at the museums, restaurants, etc. No crazy climbs to the top of a pyramid for her! What do you recommend? Any advice? Hotels? Restaurants? Transportation?
    Thank you!

Trip precautions with an old person

Dear Standfordsarah, You idea or plan of going to museums and historical places with you mom would be the most suitable because there is no such activity in museums . You won't be facing any kind of difficulties regarding accommodation, transport and restaurants. These few things would be the same for any other person going there. Mexico city has several museums which are also in the top ten tourist attractions. Hope you enjoy your trip

I can recommend the Gran Hotel Ciudad de Mexico. It is the historic section so you can walk to the Metropolitan Cathedral, several historic sites and museums. The hotel is beautiful and renowned for top service. They have excellent advanced booking discounts as well.

I would recommend you to visit the Frida Khalo house, that place can't be missed if you are visiting Mexico. Just take a look at this:

They charge a fee if you want to take pictures tho, so you better be aware of that before going there. I heard the fee for taking pictures in there is higher than the museum's entrance fee!

    Hi,
i suggest that you take a private tour, so that you can visit the most during your layover. When you are in Cancun ask if it is possible to get your boarding pass and checked bags to your final destination.

Gran Hotel Ciudad de is the most famous hotel of Mexico. It is my favorite hotel because of It gives best services rather than other hotels. I visited there after us east coast tours from new york and enjoyed there my delicious and healthy food items. Hotel staff was very friendly. So I recommend you to go there once. I am sure you will have good time there as well as I had.

If yoy are in Mexico and you forget to take your camera, So just leave everything and go back to take it and after that, you should continue your tour. Cause there are lots of things to capture in your camera. I also have tried this and had a great time there. Seriously can't forget it ever. Now i suggested to my sister in law to go there after her tours departing from washington dc. She is damn excited for it.

Traveling through Mexico City is relatively safe, everything depends on where you are going and at what time of day; It is also recommended to avoid walking in night or poorly traveled places and during the day do not show off jewelry, electronic items or money, as a precaution.
