    Halden Prison Tourism?

I've heard a lot about Halden's luxury prison, and as strange as it may sound, I've always been curious enough to want to see it in person. Has anybody been in the area? I imagine you can't really go inside, but is it worth it just to take a peek at in from the outside, if one is in the area anyway?

I have read that Halden is the most humane prison in the world. I don't know about it being used as a hotel though; but I do think that it's a great idea for rehabilitation, and the prisoners there are not quite as hostile because of the surroundings.

I have also heard that the prisoners there are not nearly as hostile as in other prisons and countries. If I was an inmate, I would probably have a better outlook on life being in a place like Halden. I wouldn't want to think about Halden being used as a hotel, but that's the comparison that it gets. The surrounding area, I have heard, is really beautiful. Maybe that's worth the trip itself.

The Halden Prison is like a paradise in earth, if you compare it to the other prisons around the world! I live in Norway for a very long time, and let me tell you I was completely shocked when they told me about it. That place looks more like a hotel if you ask me, not sure if prisoners will learn their lesson there... I mean, having a bad time in prison after commiting a crime and getting caught is a big part of the punishment. But this place is just awesome, the guys in there get food and clean clothes... they don't even have to work for it! That people have access to top quality medical installations...!

Making it a part of certain tourism, it would be lovely to have things arranged properly and also tour bus to niagara falls needs to be doing a lot for us which is the way we can get to keep it all in a manner which is quite certain with the apples it have.
