What's your favorite country in Europe?

Hey guys! I was wondering... what's your favorite country in Europe and way? If I had to pick one I'd go for Norway (not telling my boyfriend, lol), mostly because I lived over there for a while, and was incredibly happy over there. I had such a great moments there that I still look back and a smile is automatically drawn on my face. My new favorite european country could be the Netherlands, I'm planning to go there, hopely next year

What about you? Be honest and tell us what your favorite country in Europe is and why!

    My favorite country in Europe

I like Switzerland and The Netherlands in Europe. You can say they are my favorite countries because of the attractions, nature, landscape and weather. But honestly speaking i have a desire deep inside to see the beautiful views of Germany. I have seen the documentaries on television and now know about what is there and after that i really really want to visit it. Why don't you go to Germany and then share your entire experience with us?

My favourite is Italy because everything about it so welcoming - the people are friendly, the food is delicious and the landscapes (both rural and urban) are beautiful. I've only been once before but I can't wait to go back! I also really like Germany, because I admire their way of life and their attitude and open-mindedness.

I'd love to do that! I'd love to go to Germany, but for now I'll have to stick to the plan and go to the Netherlands I might actually travel to a lot places in Europe with my boyfriend, this is something that I can really see happening By the way... have you ever been in the Netherlands? I heard Switzerland is such a nice place, living there must be like living in a paradise

Really? That's amazing! To be honest I have never been there, but my boyfriend has. He liked it a lot over there, but he said the weather is too hot for him! He did tell me the people and food there was awesome. If me and him end up getting married, then we'll surely go to Italy together

I've been to most but it's hard to choose a favourite. Each country has their own advantages and disadvantages. If I'd have to choose a random country from Europe to move to.. right here and right now, it'd probably be Germany.

Really? Mind telling us why you'd pick Germany? I'm just curious, because it seems that a lot people over here are just huge fans of Germany, for some reason If you reach each reply to this thread, a lot people seems to really like Germany. I've nothing against the country or its people, but I'd not be able to see myself living there (for some odd reason)

I've only visited there quickly but what I really liked was the friendly people and how effective everything is. Most other European countries are a big mess when it comes to bureaucracy but I think in Germany they have done a good job of keeping things simple and effective.

Fair enough I've heard germans rank really high when it comes to efficiency, but to be honest I haven't had the chance to see this. I guess I should go there one day, it sounds like an interesting place to visit. I've met some german folks before, they were very kind

Italy would definitely be the country that I'm most interested in visiting. A close second is France. I love the language, food, and culture of these places. Personally, it's very important that any country that I visit has a very rich culture because I'm born in a place where the culture is rich and diverse, and the cuisine is excellent.

Wow, really? It seems there are plenty of germany fans on this forum! I have never been there, but I'm starting to get really curious, because most people have very nice things to say about Germany!

That's very interesting, you're one of the very few person who mentioned italy and france I think most countries have a rich culture, but some have cultures that are way richer than others. I must admit that! For me the language or the culture of the country I visit doesn't matter that much. Everything is good as long as I can pay the trip

I'm living in Ireland now, so of course I'm quite partial to it, but it feels like home more than a favourite country. So I'd have to say Germany, the views are absolutely breathtaking, and I have family there who are always good fun to visit.

This could be because my judgment is prejudiced by the fact that my grandparents were originally from France so I have that sentimental attachment. So for me, France definitely is my favorite European country and in any case they have a richer history than any other European nation. . .

As of right now, probably England. I don't yet know Europe quite as much as I wanted to, but I plan on traveling there way more in the future!
I imagine my favorite would be Italy, but as I've never been I can't really say that. Maybe I would get disappointed! I think Europe as a whole is a place worth visiting many times. There is so much culture, architecture, nature, art to see, I could spend years and years there and it would not be enough!

Hi Isabbela I think you should have picked the entire continent as well Europe has a lot to offer, so much I don't think I'll have a lot time to see it all during my lifetime, not even if I move there in the future (I'm expecting that). England is also one of my favorite countries now, it wasn't that much, but when I found out this country has a really high paranormal activity level... I fell in love with it

Not sure if France has the richest history in Europe, but it sure is REALLY interesting. Just look at how many things French people have invented or discovered in the past! People like Pasteur, for example. They're also really into fashion and like to keep their cities really beautiful and clean They seem to be really proud of their country.

You know? A lot people has answered ''Germany'', I REALLY wonder why? Seriously, I'm clueless! I've never been there but my boyfriend has, he says it's a very nice place, but I wonder why a lot of you have this fascination with this country? I guess I should really visit it myself so I can see with my own guys why you guys like this place so much :P

Spain, Italy and France (Verdon- the world's 2nd largest canyon is a must-see!) all have beautiful scenery though I'd say Spain has the most fun cities. Buy food in any of them!
The only souvenirs I ever take back from any country are CDs with local music.

If leaving out the choices given above, Northern Europe is very different, but amazing and awe-inspiring. Go to Estonia, Finland, Norway, Scotland, Ireland! See the northern lights, frozen seas, meteorite craters and the end of the world (as they used to think of it)!
