Are there any cultural places in Philippines?

Philippines looks like a place where not much cultural places or historical places are situated. I went through the top places to visit in Philippines and i was unable to find a place where the history lies.

    Cultural Places in the Philippines

There are several cultural places in the Philippines. This country has been colonized by several nations in the past, most particularly Spain and USA. Traces of Spanish culture can be found in the Intramuros (also called the Walled City) in Manila. Tour guides are available for a better understanding of the place. Farther up north in the Ilocos region, Vigan is a well-preserved Spanish town where old Baroque style churches as well as Spanish colonial houses of the aristocrats during the 18th century can be found. Some have been turned into museums. These are just two of the many cultural places in the Philippines.

Yup, Intramuros. You do not need to go far from the metro once you're in the country if you are looking for a historical destination. It is one of the very few surviving landmarks of the spanish era. Right across it is the Luneta Park where Jose Rizal, the country's national hero was executed.

I think you may be misinformed on where to go for some cultural experiences. I suggest you google Tours By Carlos Seldran. He is one of the best in the country and does a great job with entertaining those who book his tours. He does this mostly in Fort Santiago, the famous "Walled City" during the Spanish rule which is in Intramuros, Metro Manila Another place to googgle and see is Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar. Hope I've somehow helped you a little with my info

On the contrary, you'll find may cultural places in the Philippines. It has a very diverse culture as a result of it's history, a fundamentally Malay culture that was later colonized by the Spanish and then shortly by the Americans. You'll find a lot of old churches and cathedrals from the Spanish era scattered all over the Philippines. You can also find The Banawe Rice Terraces in Ifugao, The city of Vigan which has a lot of old structures from the 1500's, you can also see the Tabon caves in Palawan, home of the first people to live in the Philippines, the antique bamboo organ of Las Pinas. These are just a few actually, just the very tip of the iceberg when it comes to cultural place in the Philippines.

There are many historical and cultural places in the Philippines and each had its own stories about its origin and its great contributions to its culture. If you want to visit some of these places better travel with the assistance of a tour guide for better understanding as well as enjoying your trip.

Philippines is full of culture! Cebu City, which is second to Metro Manila, has a lot of history to its name. It was actually the first Spanish settlement and the oldest city in the Philippines. It is evident that there is Spanish and Roman Catholic culture even up to today, because of Magellan's Cross, which symbolizes Christianity in the Philippines. What's so cultural about this is that it is still celebrated in today's society. It happens every third week of January, and is called Sinulog. People all over the country flock to Cebu to celebrate the weekend where there are floats and parades and street parties all over. This cultural event also boosts tourism in the country because people all over the world travel to Cebu just to witness the festivities.

Church of San Agustin is one fo my favorite cultural places of Philippines. It is also known as the Paoay Church. This beautiful heritage sight was built in 1694 by Augustinian friars. This place reflects a unique combination of Gothic, Baroque, and Oriental architecture.
