Philippine White Beaches: Boracay or Pagudpud?

Among the famous beaches in the Philippines, Boracay was most often the top choice. If you're looking for the white-sands experience, Pagudpud also offers the same. Or is it?

Considering both beaches have white sands, what's particularly special about each beach?
Would you choose Boracay or Pagudpud?
In terms of entertainment, which is better?
Which is more economical to visit between the two destinations?

If entertainment is what your looking for, Boracay is the place to be. The nightlife in there is crazy. The shores are crowded with people and establishments. You will not run out of activities to do. Pagudpod, on the other hand, is not as crowded or as commercial as Boracay but it can definitely compete with Boracay's beauty.

I agree! If it is the entertainment you are after, Boracay would definitely be what you are looking for! Pagudpod is a lot more quiet and family friendly. I've never been to Pagudpod but my family has and a lot of hotels or resorts there can be pretty pricey too. Boracay you can get a lot of budget hotels. The one I stayed at this summer is called LSM Square and it's 2,500 a night and it accommodates 4 people.

It depends on the season, Pagudpud is also pretty packed during peak season. We'll, in comparison, no beach is as packed as Boracay during peak season! In Boracay you have more establishments and activities, pretty much everything is near the beach. As stated in previous posts, if you looking to party in the beach, Boracay is the beach you want! If your looking for peace and quiet, your gonna want to go to Pagudpud. You'll also get a lot more for your money with the nature to see at Pagudpud. Really a beautiful beach indeed. I think Pagudpud is a bit more affordable, thats assuming your coming from Manila.

Boracay can be like a little city during peak season and I hate it when that happens. I've never been to Pagudpod so I can't comment on that. It's very far from Manila, that's why it's cheaper and less people frequent that.

Boracay is known worldwide. I am from the Philippines but haven't been there. Have heard about it, seen pictures and viewed shows about it. It does look beautiful scenically, but personally would not like it because it's just way too crowded. On the other hand, I've been to Pagudpud. I loved it. It's beautiful, isolated from commercial establishments, and not crowded. As for entertainment, I guess Boracay would have much of it. For sure Pagudpud would be way more economical as it's a laid back sort of destination. It's more for people who want to relax, start up their creative juices and recharge from the hectic world.

I'm a party animal. That said, when I went to Pagudpud, I was a bit shocked. No parties were thrown, nothing at all to feed the party animal in me. But, 2 days into Pagudpud and I discovered something new about me; that is, that I am capable of living a simple life.

The Philippines is my mother country but now I am living already in another country my husband homeland. I may say that both beaches of Boracay and Pagudpud had its own unique features with regards to its scenery and amenities. And I had nothing to compare between the two of them. They offer both a good place for a travel destination that is why you can plan to visit both of them to experience the wonders of these places.

Boracay is one of my favorite beaches in Philippines. This beautiful island is located in Malay, Aklan, Philippines. This destination is rich in natural beauty and offers a lot of recreational activities.
