    Shopping

How good is Singapore for shopping? I've heard some say you get good deals there, but then others have complained of poor quality. I'm talking about clothes and shoes shopping. Has anyone here had any experience?

    Shopping in Singapore

It depends on the shops you go to . If you choose to go to cheap, very cheap markets then there are chances that you'll have poor quality stuff. But if you buy them from moderate or a little expensive shops then the shopkeeper can assure you that the stuff you bought would be long- lasting and up to your expectations.

There are great deals in Bugis and in Orchard. Bugis is like Divisoria less the insightful sights of mess and less the chances of you getting robbed. Majority are Korean products when it comes to clothing while souvenirs are mostly made from China. If you are an avid fan of K-pop fashion, Bugis is the right place for you.

I'll keep these names in mind. I'm not sure which markets will be cheap and which moderate, but I guess I can tell once I'm there. Thanks so much for the advice.

You also check Haji Lane. It's relatively smaller than Bugis but there is something about it that's captivating. Too bad they painted the shops with monotonous colors. It used to be painted with graphic arts.

    Re: Shopping

Its a great place for shopping, but in they don't really stand out in terms of quality. They have nice shopping areas, you'll find a lot of brands and luxury products at Orchard road. If your shopping under a tight budget better shop at Holland Village or Singapore's Chinatown.

Could you tell me a little more on this? When are these expos held and where? It would be really amazing if I can be there during one! I've a whole list of stuff that I want to buy and if I can get it any bit cheaper there that would be great!

You can check the internet for schedules. I was able to attend one and boy, talk about great deals! :-) You can also check their local newspapers.

I also have great experience of Bugis Street because I have been there during my Singapore trip. It is one of the famous and most visited shopping places of this country. It is a great place to see the history of Singapore.

    Re: Shopping

Singapore is well-known for its shopping as well as its wide-variety of awesome food! For shopping, it really depends on what you are into. If you are the high-spender and go only for luxury items, Orchard Road is filled with boutiques from around the world - LV, Miu Miu, Prada, you name it, Orchard Road will have it. With so many shopping malls there, you are sure to find the items you want. Try ION orchard, Takashimaya and Paragon if you are into the luxury goods. If you are into more family oriented malls, try the nearby Plaza Singapura, Suntec City or Wisma Atria. They have something for everyone! If you are into cheap souvenirs and clothing, try Bugis Street or Chinatown as already mentioned. Chinatown is also a good place to learn more about the culture of multiracial Singapore. Little India as well as Geylang Serai are also good shopping places if you are into traditional or culturally related gifts. I assure you, you will have a ball of a time shopping in Singapore. Never had issues with inferior quality goods personally!

Generally knowing the kind of impact something leaves on us and keeping it all in a method would help us a lot trip to niagara falls from chicago makes a complete sense for us.
For me needing the maximum outcome in terms of learning is how it goes.
