Traveling to Madrid with a toddler

I am thinking of spending a few days in Madrid with my 17-month old. It's a 2-hour trip from where we are, and I have an incredibly curious, strong-willed toddler. I wanted to get some insights from people who travel when they see a harried-looking mother trying to wrestle a toddler into a carrier with one hand and a weekend luggage in another. We have traveled before, but my husband has always been with us. Do people get annoyed at airports and during the flight, if there is a rambunctious child?

It really depends on the people around you. Some find it cute that a child is very curious and mischievous child, while some might find it very annoying indeed.
Just remember to always keep you child with you and make sure your child bothers no one and as an extra precaution, sit with people whom you think are friendly and not easily annoyed. They might even play and have fun with you kid while you sit with them.

Not always but some do i do sometimes get annoyed when on the plane you hear a baby crying its eyes out obviously its meant to happen and i understand that so its not to bad now but i am quite calm other people arn't someone will probably lose it and shout as its happend in the past on airplanes i don't really know though you could have a plane full of calm people.

It's not something that bothers me too much but then again, I've usually had a couple of shots just to make me sleep on the plane. I think most people don't mind on the way to a destination as they are excited themselves. A late night flight back from a holiday and they may be less inclined to ignore it.

Mostly people get annoyed becaure of their own tension, try to meet people who are freindly. Most people dont bother if their child is cuasing trouble to someone, so stay with your child.
