    Haunted places in Spain

    I'm really fascinated with the paranormal, specially with strange sightings or strange events happening in other countries. I'd really like to know if any of you know of any haunted places in Spain. A lot wars and terrible things have happened in the past over there, so I'm really sure that there are some really haunted places. Plus Spain has a lot old mosques, cathedrals, buildings, castles, etc. So I'm sure some of those are really haunted! After all, there are some countries in Europe that are known for that, like for example England.

    I'm really planning to visit Spain with my soon-to-be husband in the future, but instead of a boring honeymoon, I'd like to do something more interesting and special. Like for example, visiting some really interesting haunted places. I'm sure Granada is full of them

    I remember reading about the Belmez Faces when I was little, and they creeped me out big time;

    Belmez Ghost Faces | Mostly GhostsMostly Ghosts

    There is plenty of dark history in Spain, and battlegrounds, so you can probably find something most anywhere.

    Oh yeah, I also heard about the Belmez faces, but in the end it turned out to be a total and complete hoax Sadly! The first time I read about it I was totally horrified, but some years later I read the owner of the house was responsible for this hoax. The reported all sorts of paranormal incidents in that house tho.

    I surely will I hope I can take pictures in most of those places, specially in the houses... because I've heard some people don't like to let you take that kind of pictures. I guess I'll also take a look at the old castles in Granada, I bet the old mosques are full of paranormal energy... That kind of places seem to have that kind of energy stored in them for some reason.

    that will be quite an interesting honeymoon! Everyone thinks of going to romantic cosy places, but you want to scare the hell out of your spouse! At least now I know that I'm not the only crazy twisted member on this forum!

    Yeah, I knooow When I first heard about those faces I was super thrilled, but it seems the face part was made up. They still insist a lot things have happened in that house, I actually read the story, it was very spooky. I think the owner of that house is already dead!

    Re: Haunted places in Spain

    Hello,

    I found your post while doing a search and wanted to tell you about a book that might interest you once it is ready for publishing in a few months. It's called The Ghost Hunters Guide to Seville. It's the first in a series of location-specific ebook guides written by myself and Spanish paranormal researcher Ana Fernandez-Guisado (Ana F.G.) It's target audience is adventure tourists who want more than a standard historical tour of some of Spain's most mysterious locations. You may have already gone and returned from your honeymoon (congrats) but it will certainly be available as a resource for your next adventure to Spain. Safe travels!

    Cheers,

    Cameron Parrish
