    Things to do in Stockholm

This is the only city i have heard of in Sweden and it is not really famous for anything. When you look at the holiday sites for Sweden and Stockholm, it makes me think - what can i do there that i can't do at home :/

There are Saunas, Ikea, and a relaxed atmosphere. Not sure if it is worth the visit, perhaps someone can post what we can do when visiting Stockholm

Gamla Stan, the Old City, is beautiful.
Lots of museums, lots of shopping... Stockholm is a nice modern city where most of the people fortunately speak English when needed.
If you haven't ever been to IKEA, that could be worth a visit. See the National Museum right next door to the Grand Hotel. The Opera Cafe behind the National Opera is cool night spot, walking distance. The Vasa Museum, is amazing,
Ice hotel will be fun to see as well (however I'm not sure if it will be open all year around).

us west coast tours are highly popular for a great amusement.

Stockholm is a very nice place to visit, however it is a expensive city, The best time to visit it is during summer (june-august), then it is a completely full of life, but if you visit it during winter it is also a beautiful city, but it can been kinda cold and then it seems like the city is kinda sleep. the city has several things to do, you can enjoy the Gamla Stan that is an island with the oldest buildings from the city, the city is full of museums, like the Vasa one or the National museum, you can take a tour around the archipelago on a boat, the nightlife is quite vibrant, specially in neighbourhoods like Södermalm, also Stockholm has several concerts and some other events during the whole year.

Stockholm is a very rock and pop country and it's live music scene is worth seen. The Stockholm Archipelago is a popular destination in the summer months. During the summer the Archipelago gets more sunshine than the main land so it is great idea to pack your rain court and sweater. Here are a lot of shopping and dining places.

Discussion going well all members have great knowledge about tourism. I also visited this region before my trips to niagara falls few months ago. Sky View - The Globe is my favorite tourist attraction of this region. It takes us to the top of the world's largest spherical building, the Ericsson Globe and one of Stockholm's modern landmarks.

Not many things to do over there, to me Sweden is just like a huge forest with a few stores, lol, but I really like it. It's lovely, I liked their open air concerts back in the day. The food there isn't super tho.

Take a historic tour through its maze of winding medieval alleyways, small squares, ancient churches and Royal Palace. It can get very crowded, but you can avoid the bus-tour clusters by keeping off the main drags or ducking down side streets.

The Stadshuset (City Hall), Stockholm's most prominent landmark, plays host to some of the world's most esteemed people at its Nobel Prize banquet, held annual in the building’s Blue Hall

For groundbreaking contemporary art and a feast of historical treasures make sure you take in Stockholm's two very different art museums. Back in the 60s, the Moderna Museet introduced Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg and Niki de Saint Phalle to an astonished Swedish audience.

A popular destination in the summer months, the Stockholm Archipelago begins just a few miles east of the capital, covering about 140 kilometres (90 miles) from north to south.

The Stockholm is the capital of Sweden. It offers 14 silver Islands near by Baltic sea. It is an ideal destination for nature lovers. If you have a plan to go there so I suggest you go there in December. You can have great fun there at beautiful landmarks, historical places and nature spots.

Re: Things to do in Stockholm

The good thing about to traveling to Stockholm in winter is that the city is quieter than usual, the hotels are cheaper and at night time you can have the streets only for yourself. We visited Stockholm in January, the city was covered in snow and the some of the canals were frozen, a beautiful scenery.
