Interesting Things to do in Bangkok

What are some interesting things to do in Bangkok?
Has anyone been to Bangkok? How was it? Did you have fun?
Also, I've always been curious how accurate of a depiction the happenings in the movie "The Hangover 2" are.

I've never been to Bangkok but a lot of my friends have. They always talk about shopping and eating and clubs. Bangkok is pretty known for its street food scene, one major reason why I want to go in this lifetime. I haven't seen The Hangover 2, which happenings are you wondering about?

I've had friends who've been to Bangkok. But I can assure you, those "things" in The Hangover 2 movie are real. My friends have pictures to prove it so there you go. There are clubs that have real girls though. And they do pingpong, open a bottle with their unmentionable areas. But aside from those, the snake charmer show is something you need to see. A friend took a video of a snake charmer wooing a cobra. And later, the snake charmer put a mongoose with the cobra. The cobra had no chance.

Yes, I've been to Bangkok and Pattaya. Both are such fun places!

Bangkok is a shop-till-you-drop type of place, so it's a paradise for most women. The deals you get out there are just awesome! Pattaya is famous for its beaches, and also for the (in)famous Walking Street. At both places, things do get pretty wild by night. :P

    A must-visit place with buddies!

I live in Bangkok and have lived in Thailand for the past 3 years. Recommendations:

    - Ride up and down the Chao Phraya River, and see the following temples: Grand Palace, Wat Arun, Wat Pho. Get a massage at Wat Pho (top massage training school in the country)

    - Take a taxi/bus up to Nonthaburi (North of Bangkok but still basically Bangkok) and visit the island (yes, and island in the city) of Ko Kret. Rent a bike and ride around taking in the hilltribe (Mon people) villages.

    - Visit the 3 red light districts (Soi Cowboy, Soi Nana, Patpong). Though I don't recommend partaking in the services, you haven't really seen BKK until you've walked up and down these areas.

    - Visit the Goddess Tubtim Shrine... a shrine of hundreds of penises. No further explanation will be given.

    - Have some street food at night on Sukhumvit Soi 38.

    - If you're there on the weekend, visit the Chatuchak Market (called JJ market by locals). They have everything, living and nonliving, you could ever want to buy.

Have fun! Send me a message if you want some more info.

When I say that I hated Bangkok, I was telling the truth. The traffic in the city is mad, some days the air pollution can make you dizzy, and the smell of Thai food can be surprisingly strong. You will find yourself tired of haggling with taxi drivers and hopping for one stunning temple to another.

Bangkok is a city in which one can do many things but I liked buying flowers from the flower market. The market was really very amazing and literally, I didn't want to go back from there.
