    Requirements for Foreign Airlines?

    Hi there,
I'm curious if anyone knows where I can research requirements for foreign airline companies' requirements for flying and landing in the U.S. Reading about some recent crashes and mishaps, it sounds like not every airline is held to the same standards that we are here. I'd like to know if there is some sort of international regulatory agency that could shed some light on the situation. Thanks!

Its my understanding the county the airlines hub city is located, should have some regulations,or government body who administers safety and procedure in its own country (here in Australia we have C.A.S.A. or Civil Aviation Safety Authority who regulates the Australian international and domestic airlines). While they may not be able to say that certain airlines of international origin can or cannot enter if they have the required flight path, they are able to issue fines and demerit points for airlines within Australia, or issue lawful requests to uphold safety of not only traveling passengers but airport satff as well

Every airline has its own policies for the size of carry-ons, how many bags you can check, the size of checked bags, etc. In general, carry-on bags must fit under a seat or in an overhead bin. Just go to the website of the airline that you're flying. Most airlines post this information on their websites, so it's very easy to check.

Southwest Airlines has I know one of the best reputation in the USA. It is an air carrier operating with moderate airfares. No surprises to the passengers, i.e. extra fees for checked baggage...
