For someone who knows very little about Turkey what would you recommend they do if they were to visit? If you've ever been what would you suggest a first timer has to do and see?

Well, my boyfriend just came back from Turkey in august. He visited a little island, I think ( I can't remember the name right now) and he had lots of fun. You don't really need to go exploring the whole city in order to have fun. Actually he never explored that place on his own, but he went on several interesting toursI'd recommend you to do the same, because wandering freely around the streets can be a bit dangerous for everyone (because you don't really know that place). So if you go to Turkey go in a tour... or several
Also do what my boyfriend did, go to the closest night club and have fun. Closest restaurants to the hotel are good too![]()
I would go through the historic side of this country visiting, as in example, the theater of Aspendos, which wa bult under the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius in 155 AD, or the Bodrum Castle, whish is a medieval construction from the 15th century in southwest Turkey.
Mount Nemrut is another place with historic vestiges where there is tomb-sanctuary flanked by huge statues of King Antiochus I two lions, two eagles and various Greek, and Persian gods that was built in 62 BC.
It all depends what type of holiday you want. I live in Marmaris which is a seasonal beach resort, thosands of tourists come between May-October. Marmaris is a big town with plenty to do, Icemeler has gorgeous beaches if your are a sun worshipper. If you want to explore there are plenty of excursions, alot of people hop on the ferry for a day trip to Rhodes, or go to the mud baths in Dalyan. Marmaris town is great for bargain shoppers who enjoy haggling, and want some cheap clothes, shoes and bags. If you are a party animal there are hundreds of bars and clubs that stay open all night, but even if you want a quiet night its not hard to find a chilling place for food and drink. The Turkish are generally very welcoming and cater to your every need.
Even if Marmaris isn't the place for you, Turkey is cheap and you get a great exchange rate for the pound to lira, definitely worth a visit!!

Generally experiencing the way how far it would go and keeping things supportive with the best appeal tours from new jersey to niagara falls is one of those sources which are always working with the best and most and supportive method we get to carry with the arrangement we get to see.
Thank you for sharing the useful information about Turkey.
Turkey, country that occupies a unique geographic position, lying partly in Asia and partly in Europe. Throughout its history it has acted as both a barrier and a bridge between the two continents. It has very good traveling spots.
