    Climate of Turkey

How does the climate of Turkey differ from the north to the south for example from Kastamonu ( in extreme north) to Mersin (in extreme south). In what ways do the factors affect the climate of Turkey? How many cities/ districts experience Maritime influence and the sea and land breezes? What is the amount of annual rainfall in Turkey?

    Re: Climate of Turkey

The diverse regions of Turkey have different climates prevailing on the coasts and interiors.Summers are extremely dry and hot. Winters in Mediterranean coasts are cold and rainy. In these areas generally precipitation varies from 580 to 1300 millimeters but it depends on the location. Due to the geographical conditions of we cannot speak general about overall climate.

    Re: Climate of Turkey

Spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) are the best times to visit, since the climate will be perfect for sightseeing in İstanbul and on the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts, and it will be cool in central Anatolia, but not unpleasantly so. With the exception of İstanbul, Turkey doesn’t really have a winter tourism season. Most accommodation along the Aegean, Mediterranean and Black Sea and in some parts of Cappadocia is closed from mid-October until late April.

No doubt Turkey is beautiful country you can enjoy the every kind of weather there. The climate of turkey is hot in summer , cool and wet in winter. If you want to visit Turkey then plan this trip in spring season because July and August are the driest months. Winter season is also best to take a tour to turkey to enjoy the snow falling.
