    Please Share Turkey Tourism Experience

Our family will be visiting Turkey and really want to hear from people who have already visited Turkey. Please share and do let me know how did you like it and what are best destinations which should be visited must for a family of 3 kids and 2 adults.

We would be staying in Turkey for full 2 weeks and can not go beyond two weeks so from which city should we start and which attractions should be visited at the end of this 2 weeks trip to Turkey.

Hi. Turkey is a very beautiful and captivating place and all touristic spots are worthy to see. There are a lot of places/provinces/regions in Turkey and I can say that almost all of them boast with stunning places to see. I assume that Istanbul would be part of your trip, for Istanbul is the most popular place in Turkey. Being the capital, the scenic, touristic, shopping, and food destination there seems endless. What struck me the most, and I would like to share, would be Hagia Sofia. It has the most wonderful architecture in Istanbul, in my opinion. Its relevance in the country's architecture, history, and culture makes it one of the most visited places there. If you have limited time to see all the wonders and touristic destinations of Turkey, then head to Miniaturk instead. It is a park of miniature attractions of Turkey gathered in one place. It is like touring the whole of Turkey when you go there. If you are into shopping, you must not miss Kapala Carsi. It is the biggest bazar in Turkey (or in the whole world?). It houses almost 4,000 shops and one day to tour this bazar is not even enough! There are interesting local restaurants too, and I would suggest to stir away from fancy restaurants that charge too expensive for tourists, but instead ask the friendly locals on where the authentic, local cuisine is.

Aside from Istanbul, there are also other Turkey regions that have equally great and beautiful places to visit like the Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Adana, Gaziantep,Antalya, Bodrum, etc. if you have sufficient time, it is also nice to take a look on these Turkey regions.

    Enjoy Turkey!

My parents broughy me to Turkey when I was a child and I loved it. I am positive that your kids will like it. I do not remember city names and such, but we went on a car tour to a place that made carpets. They taught us how they made them from silk, it was really interesting. Also our tourguide was great, he was so knoledgable about the country. He always kept the tour interesting and fun! I am sure you will all enjoy it.

I'm definitely interested in visiting Turkey at some point down the road. I was in Europe last Summer, but I wasn't able to make it to Turkey and I was kind of disappointed about that. The next time I head to Europe i'm absolutely going to hit up Turkey. I've heard they have some really interesting food, albeit the site seeing can be a bit lackluster.

My boyfriend went to Turkey on august this year, he had a great time. He visited a small island, he always stayed near his hotel... went to the night clubs that were nearby and so on. Nothing bad happened to him, but he almost gets food poisoning; he ate a kebab that wasn't cooked properly.

Of course, a tourist wouldn't be a tourist without sightseeing and visiting the city's most renowned attractions. The Hagia Sophia is one one of the planet's best touristy destinations. It was erected back in 537 A.D. and served as the highest cathedral for Christians for 900 years. The Turks took over the then-Constantinople in 1453 and converted it as a mosque, up until 1935 where it was finally reopened as a museum. You might have to wait for an hour or more in line, but if you're willing to pay extra, you can enter instantly. The guide will give a quick half-hour overview of the country's number one tourist attraction. After the brisk overview, you can marvel at the view all for yourself. The gallery offers a great vantage point where you can see fascinating mosaics and historic columns. For over 15 centuries, a circuit of some forty windows had become the main source of light for the building.

Turkey is just incredible and amazing, and you will surely not regret visiting it. It makes you want to stay in that beautiful country forever. Their food is more than awesome, such a mixture of all eastern tastes and make sure you bring bigger clothes because you'll gain weight there for sure! :P You must visit Topkapi palace, which is a great historical evidence of all that happened in the Ottoman period. Also you can't leave turkey if you don't visit Kapali Carsi Bazar. People are so friendly and generous, everyone is smiling at you and you can feel the positivity in the air. All in all, the best country I have ever visited!

Galata Tower is my favorite one attraction of this country. I have been there about three years ago with my family. There we enjoyed a lot. It is an ideal attraction for history lovers.

In Turkey the most suitable manner is to get the best and finding the most reasonable approach is one step ahead for us nj to niagara falls bus tour would be very decent and it has all those needs which can be seen and experienced for the best of it.

The cheapest and easiest way to get around in Antalya is by tram, which run every 30 minutes around Kaleici and the waterfront. While the people of Antalya are used to westerners, Turkey is still a Muslim country and it's best to dress respectfully and keep shoulders and legs covered.
