It depends on your interests! London has so many things to do, I'm sure you'll find something you like.

Famous monuments and buildings include Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Tower Bridge, the London Eye, St Paul's Cathedral, Trafalgar Square and the Tower of London.

A well-known shopping area is Oxford Street. Most popular brands have large flagship stores on this street. If your tastes are a little more alternative, you could take a look at Camden Market. Covent Garden is another nice shopping area, usually full of street performers and buskers at the weekends.

If you like parks, I'd recommend Hyde Park, St James's Park or Regent's Park. Hyde Park and the neighbouring Kensington Gardens are huge!

There are many galleries and museums, including the Tate Modern, the National Portrait Gallery, the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum.

If you are staying for the evening, there are loads of excellent restaurants, theatres, pubs and music venues to choose from.

Best Things To Do In London

There are so many things you can do and see while you're in London. That's why it's on my bucket list. I would love to go there so that can see such architectural sights such as Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Tower of London and Buckingham Palace. I would also like to see the changing of the guards. I would like to visit the Kensington Gardens. Additionally, I like to visit the museums, galleries, and theaters there along with my family.

    Popular Places In London

London is such a beautiful city! It's buzzing with activity all through the year.

Katykat has given you an excellent, comprehensive list of the popular places. I would like to add a few things:
The London Eye is simply stunning by night. Take the trip up around sunset and you'll be awed. Also, a river cruise on River Thames takes you to Greenwich, which is a very nice experience too!
Also, if you're a Harry Potter fan, you could visit the Warner Bros. studio near Watford.

    Have a good trip!

The best things to do outdoors in London

The London Eye isn't scary at all. Yes it's high, but it goes pretty slow and it's extremely secure, so there's no reason to be afraid. It's definitely more of a sight seeing tool than an amusement park type ride. I would recommend walking along the South Bank as well, thats where the London Eye is, and if you walk along the river just past the eye you'll find several street performers, and past that you'll find possibly my favorite attraction in London, an outdoor used book market sheltered under one of the bridges. It changes every day and you can always find something interesting for cheap, so if you enjoy reading I'd definitely recommend checking it out. There's also an interesting little skate park nestled in between the street performers and the book market, what's interesting about it is the graffiti changes almost every day, so I always like to have a little look. If you continue to walk you'll normally find some people making sand sculptures on the little beach by the river, they're pretty impressive. You'll also see the National Theatre and if you walk long enough, you'll see the Tate Modern and the Globe Theatre as well. It's definitely a nice little stretch.

If you are animal loving then The Natural History Museum boasts a collection of the biggest, tallest and rarest animals in the world. See a life-sized blue whale, a 40-million-year-old spider, and the beautiful Central Hall.

We are regular visitors to London and have been to most of the sights that we want to see. Usually we go to few theatre shows and just enjoy the atmosphere of the city during the day.
