Thread: This weekend in London

Okay, so there are a couple of other London threads but I am specifically looking for any advice on things going on in London this weekend of August 17. Street fairs, festivals, book signings, and stuff like that.

I've been to London once before and seen most of the big sites like the British Museum, and can entertain myself endlessly with museums so I'm not worried about finding stuff to do, I just hate that thing where you travel someplace and then when you get home you see an article about some great once-in-a-decade event that was going on next door to your hotel :P

Not looking for anything too expensive, so for example a $50 a person guided tour is probably not going to excite me unless it's an all-day event and truly unique.

So, any suggestions?

There's this carnival coming up in London called as Notting Hill carnival. It would be from 25 - 26th of August 2013 . Its where you really get to know about people over there and the culture, and the lifestyle , how people celebrate etc. Its also on this weekend so you can go there and enjoy.

Thanks! We ended up winging it, since I couldn't find confirmation that the carnival would be going on during the weekend of the 17th.

Instead we went to Brick Lane, which may as well have been a carnival! It was incredible, with more food stalls and vintage/art markets than we could possibly see in a single day.

It could be fun for sure. London is an amazing place undoubtedly and when we get into all those things staying aware of niagara falls boat tour can be a lot of help to us.

Although this weekend I am not going to London, but I must say it is an exciting place and London Eye, Palace of Westminster, St Paul's Cathedral, Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square are some of its promising places that fasinate me to go there again and again.
I would like to add Trafalgar Square is most prominent and attention grabbing place of this region and call a large number of visitors there annually.

London is a nice place for visit. It offers a wide rang of attraction to explore the beauty of nature. I have been there many times of my life whit family and friends. The large number of visitors go there every year to enjoy the holidays. Let me share your favorite distention of London?

I would say all members shared really massive details here which would be really useful for zlemune as well as it would be for other travel freaks, who wanna go there. London is one of my favourite one places, where i always get ready to make a tour there. During my tour i had a great exploring journey at london zoo, enjoyed ride of London Eye and viewing for the high point was so cool. If you are going there then must take a ride of it.

I am glad to know that you have visited London as well as me. London is obviously a famous destination and also popular among the travelers. Millions of travelers come here annually to enjoy its beauty. I have visited many of its attractions but British Museum, Big Ben and London Zoo are my favorites. Now, I am planning a tour of USA via Top Bus Tours and pretty excited for it.
