Thread: Best winter vacation destinations for fun in the snow?

Whether a skier, snow boarder or just want to sit before a fire in the mountains, what places can you recommend for an old fashioned snow holiday. I would love to also know about any special events in the town or state you recommend.

Massanutten Resort: A Four Season Resort Located in the Beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia

We have Massanutten. Very well know, apparently. I haven't had the pleasure of going, but my brother did. He got hurt there, but that's because he was accident prone as a teen. He said it was really fun. All kinds of snow sports there. Skiing and snowboarding seem to be the big thing there.

Bear Mountain is one of Southern California's snowboarding gems, with its amazing 200 acres of white, cool playground for riders and skiers. Majority of the property makes up its 100+ freestyle features - beginner, intermediate and advanced rails, walls and boxes, four pipes (one of which is the only "Superpipe" in all of Southern California), and the Skill Builder Parks for newbies and learning beginners.

The resorts serves amazing drinks as well. Dining options abound at the base as well. Visitors can roam around the restaurants, coffee bars, Ice Box shop, repair shop, and sports shop. Parents can have their kids enrolled at the sports lessons center, too.

Vermont and New Hampshire are both good. I've heard great things about Killington in Vermont. I've never been there for the winter but it's absolutely beautiful in the summer, and it's known for its skiing.

I would suggest Lake Tahoe in California! The lake itself is absolutely breathtaking, you can snow board, ski and all that good stuff. There are several ski resorts around there, and they are pretty good. You can bet to have the prettiest pictures in there, and also as it is in the limit with Nevada, there are some good casinos around.

After visiting your post I am planning to visit there after completing my boston to washington dc tours in vacations. If I select the Switzerland then which area do I like to prefer and famous for snow.

My favorite winter vacation destinations for fun are; Colorado, Quebec City, Sun Valley, Idaho, Vermont and Thompsonville. I visited all these destinations during my different winter tours. I always love to enjoy my winter vacations with my family.

Yes in winters it gets tough to spend time and i feel that in west having a place where the weather is moderated is more like a treat big time. For me nationally understanding maid of the mist boat tour was a perfect experience.

London is such a nice city for visit that is offer a diverse kind of attractions to explore the views of nature beauty. It's natural places appeals me a lot. It is one of my favorite travel destinations. I have been there about few years ago with my whole family to enjoy winter holidays. We all had great time there and had an awesome experience there. In my point of view it is a best place where touris can enjoy winter holiays with family.

Obviously dude London is one of the most prominent ones destination among the travelers, I personally have been there visited much of the time last time i was there after my Boston to Niagara falls bus tours and really enjoyed there, British museum and London eye is my most favorites attractions of the country.

There is no doubt London is such an amazing destination and there are many attractions. I have been there many times and always have a great experience on this destinations. I remembered I have been there last time on my friend marriage I have visited it's attractions but at this time I have missed to explore London eye due to shortage of time. Before this I have visited this place and have a great experience on this place.

Salt Lake City is arealky nice dsrytination for adventurous lovers. I viisted once in my life and In last of my post I will share an image of its mnatural view. I wantto viist aagin there becuase of its famous in these things like Downtown’s 10-acre Temple Square, headquarters of the Mormon Church. It is home to the majestic, 19th-century Salt Lake Temple and the neo-Gothic Assembly Hall.
