    Science centers

As a child, I went to quite a few Science centers. I loved each and every trip. There is one in particular that stands out in memory and that one is in Louisville Kentucky. That place captured my interest from start to finish. I even remember making bouncy balls from glue and something else. It sure was fun!

Have you been to a science center?

My son loves these types of places, and we homeschool, so I'm always on the lookout for places like this. We live in SoCal, so we've been to ones in both San Diego and Los Angeles. My family is upstate NY, so I've been to one out there with him as well. We went to VA and DC last year, and unfortunately didn't have time to make it the ones I read about in that area.

However, I think the best science museum I've been to was not in the US, but in Toronto, ON in Canada. I'm not sure if it was just a regular science museum or one with lots of hands-on activities, but I remember it being a lot of fun and really interesting - having went as a 6th grader, anyway.

Yeah, I was at a science center when I was in Amsterdam. My boyfriend took us there thinking it was for adults too, lol. We must have looked like the weirdest childless couple ever walking around that center, but it was an interesting experience. Great places for kids, but not for adults!

The Pacific Science Center in Seattle is great and hands on so the kids have a lot of fun. It is located near the water so on a hot summer day you can hit the beach too.
