What would be the most thrilling places in California

Can anybody list 3 attractions or places in California which would add the thrilling effect to my trip to the big city and make it one of the most memorable trips of my life?

If you are looking for a thrill, how about the Winchester Mystery House? I have never been, but I want to go. I am a little too scared, though. The back story is that the lady of the house had lost a child and other bad things happened to her family. She consulted a psychic who told her she was cursed because of all the people who were killed by the weapon her husband sold. In order to lift the curse, she would have to build and build and build, and also build mazes so no spirit could find her.

They do regular tours, and I think have a midnight tour, too. It's rather creepy.

Disney/Universal Studios are probably already on your list. I would go to Telegraph Road in Berkeley. I absolutely love it. And also go to Venice. You can see the mural of Jim Morrison.

There are tons of hiking trails. Maybe register for an all day hike to the beach. Those are fun.

You can't go wrong visiting Hollywood and Santa Monica. And La Jolla is beautiful!

Sorry - I know that is all a little jumbled.

I agree with Glitter. I would definitely go to Disney, Hollywood and see the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and maybe a day at the beach and a visit to the Santa Monica Pier. You could also go to Venice Beach or shopping on Rodeo Drive.

It will be thrilling if you take your family to Disneyland. Its the best places in CA and the coolest for tourists. Its a tourists destination. There are plenty of fun, food, rides there for you to enjoy and shopping. It's in Anaheim CA. The next thrilling things is to visit all the beach out there. If you love to swim, surf, you should hit the beach. The best beach for surfing is Huntington Beach in Orange, CA. The best places to go swimming is Corona Del Mar, in Orange CA. The celebrity beach is in Newport Beach. The coolest beach with lots of things to do is Santa Monica Beach in LA. You can also visit Six Flags Magic Mountain and go on crazy cool rides in LA. Your family will love it. You can also visit Hollywood hall of fame. Who doesn't want to see a celebrity or two. You can visit Universal studio of Hollywood.

Where Should A Tourist Go To California And Why?

I would definitely visit Disney Land, but only because I've never heard of it, and it seems like an awesome place to see. I'd also say Alcatraz, my dad loves visiting there. Also, Fisherman's Wharf is pretty cool. There are so many seals and other types of wildlife on the beach! I always pull out old California pictures with my dad and the amount of seals is crazy!

California has a lot to offer. There are many great cities to visit and cool places to see within those cities. My top three suggestions would allow you to visit three of the major areas in California. First, I would recommend a visit to San Diego to explore the beaches there. You might also want to check out the San Diego Zoo, which is one of the best zoos in the United States. Then I would suggest you travel a bit further up North to Anaheim to visit Disneyland. Disneyland is a must see. Everyone should get to experience Disneyland at least once in their life. It is absolutely magical. The last place I would recommend is even further up north-San Francisco. In San Francisco you should check out the Golden Gate Bridge and the Golden Gate Park. Pier 39 and Alcatraz are also fun tourist spots to hit within San Francisco as well.

Definitely I love the idea of visiting San Francisco on top of your three suggestions, and the would go to San Diego, but I'm not sure about Anaheim and much less to visit Disneyland.

I remember my grandmother promising me a trip to this place when I would turn 15, but she passed away before I reached that age and the trip to Disneyland was obviously cancelled.

If it would happen by the time it was planned, for sure I would enjoy the place, but today that Disneyland is excessively commercialized, I don't longer see the magic to go over there.

I would say the first choice is definitely Disneyland. I love going down there when I have a chance because I like Disneyland. Palm Springs, is another place where you can go shopping. It is a pretty place to go. Golden Gate Bridge, which has a park, is a place where there are a lot of people would like to go when they are in California.

San Diego where you can go from the beaches to the mountains in under half an hour. The San Diego Zoo, the San Diego Safari Park (where the animals roam free), Mount Palomar Observatory, Cuyamaca National Park with great hiking, waterfalls and mountains, rodeo and horseback riding in East County and half a dozen or so tribal Casinos. You can always add a day trip to Anaheim for Disneyland with about an hour and some drive north and return and continue to explore San Diego without dealing with all the LA traffic and expense. There's also Sea World, Lego Land and the Scripps Institutes of Oceanography, the pier and military as well as countless museums in Balboa Park in the center of the city. For shopping, there is world famous Horton Plaza and much more.

If you want a thrill, definitely go to Universal Studios, Six Flags and to Hollywood Boulevard on a premiere day (if you like spotting celebrities). Those are a lot of fun in my opinion, and in the one year I lived in CA I would say were the most magical and thrilling things I did there!

Top 3 attractions in California are Santa Monica Pier. It's nice to enjoy the relaxing weather and the view it has to offer. Hollywood would be nice just for the sake of going. The next is Disneyland. It will be a fun experience for the kids and adults, with a lot of rides and different kinds of food. Lastly is Huntington beach! It's good for surfing and the view is breathtaking as well.
