    Raw Food Retreats

I am embarking on the raw food diet. What raw food retreats/detox programs do you know of?

I've been reading up on interesting raw food retreats in the US for some time now and I can give you a couple of suggestions. There's The Raw Retreat in Ojai, California that has a few programs - from a one-day session to a full 8-weeks detox program (depending on your budget and time allocations) with full massage sessions, diet analysis, meditation, qigong as well as a complete raw food meals.
The second one that I have been eyeing is the Pangaia Retreat in Hawaii (yes, if you want to detox, why not go all the way to Hawaii?). It's on Hilo and they have a flexible program that allows the client to decide how they want to spend their day. Again, there are several packages from a few days to a few weeks. Apparently clients can take part in a variety of restoration projects all done in the lush natural surroundings.

Wow! These are both great recommendations. I need to kind of be on lockdown and do a thorough cleansing and then a maintenance program. My dream is to go from raw retreat to raw retreat and work online while I do. That would be the life.

Song of the Morning Yoga Retreat Center in north Michigan also occasionally has raw food retreats. Its remote but if you are looking for peace and quiet it may be a good choice to incorporate into your retreat tour! I don't know about working online though, when I was there they didn't have any wireless access or cell phone reception. Great to be unplugged for awhile but it'd be hard to pay the bills if you're working online and not have any access!

Would be curious if anyone knew of these types of retreats in other countries? I do quite a bit of international travel and am wondering if I can find these things abroad.

I just googled them. It looks so relaxing, and there are so many workshops to choose from. It's in the Pigeon River State Forest. It looks beautiful and serene. I saw a bit about the food - it is vegetarian with vegan options, organic, fair trade, and served buffet style. I will definitely keep on my mind and see when they have their next Raw retreat.

Would be a cool thing to experience. Also experiencing stuff like bus tour from new york helps it all big time which is in general.
