Pitch a tent or Rv it?

Are you the type that prefers a tent and sleeping bag, or would you rather "rough" it in style in an RV with a bed, toilet and tv?

I'd rather RV it. Even as a kid I wasn't comfortable in a tent withought a fan blowing in my face.

I definitely prefer to RV it as well but I also think it depends what kind of experience you're looking for and where you're going. If you just want to go get away for a few days in pleasant weather there's nothing wrong with camping old style with a tent. For a more extended trip, I'd definitely rather have an RV.

I grew up camping in a tent, and I have lots of fond memories from it. As long as you have one with good ventilation, tents can be very comfortable! RVs seem like they'd guzzle a lot of gas to me.

I'm so over tent camping! I used to love it when I was a kid, but as an adult I want more comfort than that out of my vacation. At a minimum I want to sleep in a bed and use a toilet that flushes. So if we're camping, it is RV or cabin all the way.

One of my retirement goals is to buy an RV and spend a summer traveling to catch games at every big league baseball stadium.

I'm pretty over traditional camping as well- I'm all for the hiking, getting away in nature and so on but I definitely want to RV it from now on!

    Good responses!

I have a friend who'd rather lay in a tent on a rock with ants all around it than be a "yuppie" in an RV. I'm like ok, you can have at that

We still have a nice tent and when my older boys were younger we camped in a tent quite a bit. I have gained quite a bit of weight in the past 5 years and roughing it is not what I enjoy these days. Sleeping in a sleeping bag on the ground is no longer an option. I am in the process of losing weight and I hope that within a year or so being able to sleep comfortably on the ground curled up in a sleeping bag will again be in the cards for me!

Now a days it's not that big deal to make tent on these places, you can easily read the manual and make it work.
