    Visiting of the states?

I've often heard of people adding 'visit each state' to their bucket list...when I was younger the idea really appealed to me; I think I romanticized it a good bit. But if money/time weren't an issue, would you actually want to travel to each and every state? No doubt you could find things to do and cool sights in many of them, but every one?

I think if I had the money and time it would be great, but I can't feasibly see doing it. We don't homeschool, so that would be a huge issue right there.

I definitely DO still want to see all 50 states! I can't think of one that doesn't have something I want to see in it. I'm lucky enough to have seen about half already so I actually do think it's a doable goal for me. The only states I can think of off the top of my head that don't have anything I'd consider exciting are Iowa and Indiana and I've already been to both of them

Not sure about each and every state but I have visited NY since it was in my bucket list and I am happy I did go. I'd love to visit California,Florida,Hawaii, and Washington. Those are my top picks right now. Before that though,I'd want to travel to Europe first.

I would love to, but part of that is because I adore road trips. They're the most American thing ever.

That said, I think there are a handful of states I would only make a nominal stop in.

I would love to. There are some states that might be mainly drive-thru, but that's part of the appeal in my view. The epic road trips, seeing the sites and natural beauty of each state even if there aren't attractions that you want to stop at in every single one. That said, I can't think of many states that don't have something I'd want to stop to see.

I visited some of the states and I can say each states offer different beauty and history that are worth it to see. Many famous states are known for their landmarks. Knowing their histories is really interesting. There are some states that I want to visit in the future, including Washington and Florida.

Wow half way...definitely seems doable then! Hope you reach it =). If I were halfway I might have to 'finish' just on principle.

    Re: Visiting of the states?

My husband and I have made a goal to take our kids to all 50 states. They are 5 and 7 and have been to 11 so far. I truly think that going to every state will be a lot of fun and a great learning experience for not only our kids but for us too. Each state has something to offer visitors. Some have more to offer than others. I like to research different things to do in various states and have yet to come across a state that has nothing to offer.

I'm not sure I'd like to visit EVERY state, but I'd surely like to vist a couple of them. I think isn't possible to truly discover and visit each state, at least not if you want to explore each state well. You'd need to dedicate a whole a trip to each. I think is better to dedicate your time to the states you really like and want to visit and if you have some time left you can visit the rest.

    Re: Visiting of the states?

I have made my list of visiting each state before I die. I would think it will take me probably 52 years to do that because I only visited 4 states so far, excluding the state in which I reside. I would like to visit all the best places in each state because I'm sure there are interesting, scenic, and touring places in each state.

    Re: Visiting of the states?

I have visited most of the continental states in cross country road trips. I do plan to see each and every one. If you have never done a family or friends road trip, it is quite an adventure. If you think about the expense of flying and the time to get through the airports, screened and take off, you could most often already be in another state by car. I have seen most of old Route 66 and it is an American treasure. Pack up the cars, loved ones, a few snacks and off you go!

If I had the money to travel to visit each state I'm sorry but I would opt to visit a different island each time instead. I'm a tropical weather person hence the screen name so somewhere with a beach and beach weather is a MUST for me..everywhere I go!!
