    Hi, My name is Kcmoney!

I tried to find an appropriate forum to introduce myself but couldn't find one. I am a US resident and as a child we traveled all over the Central to Southwest US States and thoroughly had a blast. I am hoping to learn of new places I can visit as well as help someone see the beauty I seen as a child. I am looking forward to the future travel plans I will make from viewing the many comments in this helpful forum.

Hah, yes it's true that an intros section would be handy to get to know our fellow travelers here.

The southwest is gorgeous, and I've had the pleasure of traveling through it a few times, I can imagine it would inspire wanderlust in a child

Well, hello! My name is Dana and I'm from Virginia. I love New Mexico. I just loved everything about it. I would love to go to some of the other southwestern states too. Even California, which I used to be afraid of because of the earthquakes. Since I've now experienced a moderate earthquake, I'm not as afraid of California as I used to be.

What did you think of the food? I remember it being very flavorful and spicy. They always seemed to like hot peppers on pretty much everything!

Well, Dana I am from Texas and in my opinion the southwest flavor doesn't really differ between the Southwestern States. The further east you go from California the stronger the Southern taste and style is. I personally did not recognize the spiciness between them. I believe the spicy flavor comes from Mexico and can be found in any State along its borders. However, recently I moved to Louisiana and they have a spicy flavor all their own near New Orleans that is called Cajun Style. It is a flavor all its own. Thank you for asking. I really enjoy hearing about what everyone encounters and enjoys about any place they have been.

Welcome to the forums! I did find it a little odd there was no introduction section, but I suppose there's no reason not to make your own . Hope you enjoy it here!
