    Up to date on shots?

When you leave the states, do you always need to be up to date on your shots and vaccines? I would assume this is the case for going to a less industrialized country, but what about if you're going to Canada or the UK? Do you need to be up to date on everything if the country is considered an industrialized nation?

I would assume that it's better to be safe than sorry when you're traveling abroad, but I'm not sure how that works or what is advised.

I'm going to be traveling to the Netherlands on january next year, and so far I haven't been told I need to get shots. I traveled to Norway some years ago as well, and I didn't need them either. I heard you only need them there when you want to work as an au pair there, in that case you need to get a lot tests done as well, but tourists don't seem to be affected by this at all
