Where do you suggest for a Winery Tour?

I have been to the wine country of Northern California and to the Temecula area north of San Diego. Does any one have any feedback on any particular areas in or out of California?

Sonoma is by far my favorite. The Dry Creek and Russian River wines are lovely, and the general attitude and experience is much friendlier and cozier than Napa.

Also Kaz winery has amazing mustards.

The Finger Lakes area of upstate NY has some great wine tours! I go with my family once a year and we always have a great time. The wine is fantastic and the landscapes are beautiful. I totally recommend checking it out.

Paso Robles in SLO, and Santa Barbara are both nice locations as well. Santa Barbara is probably more commercial, but Paso Robles can get crazy hot, so YMMV.

If you're feeling more adventurous you can cross the border and check out Ensenada, it's gorgeous there.

Believe it or not, Arkansas has a nice wine area. Altus, Arkansas has a few vineyards and they offer tours. It's in a beautiful part of the state and there's a lot of natural beauty around the area. If you like rural America then that would be a great trip!

Napa Valley is awesome! I'm not that much of a wine expert, so I wouldn't know exactly which are the highest quality wineries, but my favorite ones there were Sterling and Stag's Leap.

I have heard there is quite a wine business throughout the US and not just California. With the natural beauty I have heard about Arkansas, I would take this as a great suggestion. I have never made it to Arkansas, but keep hearing so much about the outdoors..it's definately in my future. Thanks.

Try going to Georgia, there are some worth visiting wineries there.
