How Much Money To Bring To Zimbabwe?

I know the currency in Zimbabwe is pretty weak, It's something like $1 = ZMD 361. If I were to visit Zimbabwe how much pocket money should I bring for a week of food and accommodation?

The amount of money you need to take to Stay in Zimbabwe?

It depends on the type of places you want to go to . For example if you wish to visit places which are expensive then the amount would obviously differ to the amount you would be required to stay when looking for cheap places.

Owing to the fact that Zimbabwe at the moment uses a number of foreign currencies and their cost of living as compared to other African countries and the world in general is high. To be on the safe side (prices for stuff is not fixed as they are at the moment embroiled in post-election petitions, etc., etc., which spells 'INSTABILITY' which means for a few months prices will be steadily rising) you'll have to need a lot of money in $$$ bills, practically.

Right now, consider it a very expensive destination to visit.

Alfonso, the Zimbabwean dollar is not in use any more, and has not been for quite some time. When you travel there, you can budget as if you were traveling to any big city in the world. The cost of living there has definitely risen, but it will still be within your means if you are coming from the west. You will be amazed at how things are not as bad there as the media portrays. If you have a good amount of US dollas or South African rands, you will be okay. Good luck on your trip.

Everyone has its own opinion so according to my point of view.If you like to visit in Zimbabwe you have a complete info about the entire country in various point of view like
What is your as well as the place requirement, because every place has its own requirement. You think about it what places do at your top of the list and what is your budge. If you focused on two thing then you can manage it with the according to your budge.

I was just in Victoria Falls this past weekend and was very surprised at the number of businesses taking Visa cards. I also used the Barclay's ATM near Ilala Lodge with no issues, other than it gave me my money in all 50 dollar bills which created some issues with getting change. I wish I had just used my Visa card more but the ATM was the first thing I went to when I got to Victoria Falls. There's 3 banks all in a row right next to Ilala Lodge on Livingstone Way, about 1 km from the entrance to Victoria Falls NP. The Park also took Visa for entry fees...
