Thread: Loch Ness

I've always loved the story of Nessie. While I know it's a myth ( deep down I always think it may not be though) I'd still love to visit the Loch and take pictures and hang out.

Has anyone ever been? Maybe taken a cheesey tour of the lake by people trying to profit from the novelty?

Nope, never been there but it does sound like an interesting destination. But the thing I'm worried about is, what to do around there? Sure the lake might be good for a day... but then you need to to move on and do other things in the area.

Unless you are a real nessie fanatic and you really want to spend a week or two fishing.

There are several tours in Scotland that cover Loch Ness as well as some castles. That way you don't have to stay all day at a lake.

Castles are actually a great idea! How come I didn't think of that?

One day (don't know when that day will come) I'll visit Scotland and see every last place there is to see there. That country fascinates me for reasons that even I'm not sure of. Lol. The castles are one reason why I want to go there. It's probably one of the countries with the most number of castles, right?

The Loch Ness mystery is intriguing, but then again most of us agree that it's an imaginary cook up. Still, the lake should be a great place to visit.

I've always wanted to go Scotland but never had the chance. I think a trip to Scotland would be great anyway! Well, there's the sheer beauty of the place, at least from what I've seen in travel magazines and movies. Then there's the mysterious sightings of the fabled monster, who could resist?

Come to think of it, I think that description fits some of the Scots I know!

But yes, there is an air of mystery surrounding the place, so forlorn and quiet, I can see why people start to see strange things in the loch!

Although i live in the UK i have never been on one of those Nessie trips. With all the technology available and searches they have done with it, it is clear that if Nessie did exist it has long gone now. However, it is probably a good trip as the views will still be good and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly.

No alycat32! I never got the chance to visit Loch Ness, and I'm not even aware with the history of that place. Have you ever been in there? if yes then would you like to share some its history, story and attractions with us.
